Park Lock Rod

NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.




1. Loosen the selector lever housing by such an amount that it can be turned to one side.
2. Move the selector lever to position P and turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Measure the clearance between the locking pin and the locking disc.
- The clearance should be 0.4-1.0 mm.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
5. Slacken the lock nut on the rod.
6. Remove the locking clip.
7. Rotate the rods end piece in the desired direction.
- Turn it counterclockwise if the clearance is too large, clockwise if it is too small.
8. Tighten the lock nut when the clearance is correct and install the locking pin.
9. Install the selector lever housing.
