Torque Converter Seal

Removal
1. Remove the transmission.
2. Lift out the torque converter.
3. Insert puller 87 91 311 inside the seal and use slide hammer 83 90 270 to remove the seal.

Installing
1. Install the new seal using special tool 87 91 311.
2. Position the torque converter.
3. Check that the torque converter is correctly positioned by placing a steel ruler on the torque converter housing's mating surface and measuring the distance between the mating surface and the driver plate's contact surface on the torque converter.
The distance should be:
- minimum 9 mm.
4. Install the transmission.
