Page 024-2 Technical data

Tightening torques

Parting surface of gearcase/clutch case reads 22 +/- 2 (16 +/- 1.5).
Should be 24 +/- 4 (18 +/- 3).

Clutch case, support sleeve reads 12 +/- 2 (8.4 +/- 1.5).
Should be 10 +/- 2 (7.4 +/- 1.4).

Page 104-2 Special tools

Part number 89 91 303 is incorrect. The correct part number is 87 91 303.

Page 431-9 Removing, refitting

19 Tightening torque 130 Nm (96 ft.lb,) should be 120 Nm (89 ft.lb.).

Page 471-12 Dismantling, assembly

Replace step 19 as follows:

19 First secure the clutch housing and gearcase lightly by means of two bolts. Then tap the dowels up into place.
Fit the bolt for the reverse shaft.

Tightening torque 28 +/- 2 Nm (20.7 +/- 1.5 ft.lb.).

If necessary, use a small screwdriver to align the bolt hole with the hole in the gearcase. Fit the remaining bolts.

Tightening torque 24 +/- 4 Nm (18 +/- 3 ft.lb.).

Page 471-42 Dismantling, assembly

Replace step 3 as follows:

3 Refit the carrier sleeve. Apply Loctite or the like to the three screws and tighten them using a torque wrench.

Tightening torque 10 +/- 2 Nm (7.4 +/- 1.4 ft.lb.).
