Injectors

Flow capacity is 0.112, it should be 104 (+/-) 8 ml/30s.

The maximum permissible difference between the injectors is 10 ml.

Page 34 Technical description

Principle of operation, control module grounding points

In the illustration, two crimped connections (J11 and J13) have been inserted in the grounding circuit of the control module (510). These connections are to be deleted, with the result that the connections on pins 2, 14 and 24 of the control module should be connected directly to grounding point G7P.
In addition, the lead from crimped connection J14 via connector H16-2 should be connected to pin 3 of the position sensor (203).

Principle of operation, throttle position

In the illustration, the connections to the position sensor (203) have been transposed. The lead from pin 14 of the connector (H162) should be connected to pin 3 of the position sensor and the lead from pin 15 of the connector should be connected to pin 2 of the position sensor.

Add another bullet (^) under paragraph Throttle angle as follows:

^ 0.25-1 V at Ignition ON

Coolant temperature sensor

The 7th paragraph should read;
"In the event of a break in the circuit and if the temperature of the intake air..."

Page 63 Fault diagnosis

Three of the diagnostic trouble codes in the table have the wrong number. P1560 should be P1630, P1561 should tie P1631 and P1630 should be P1451.

One of the diagnostic trouble codes in the table has the wrong number. P1631 should be P1450.

Replace step 4 as follows:

4 With the ignition switched off and all current consuming equipment disconnected, measure the resistance across pin 2 of the valve connector and a good grounding point on the engine.
The resistance should be 5100 kilo-ohms.
If it is not, check the lead wiring to pin 5 of the control module for continuity and/or a short circuit.

Delete the Note.

Replace step 3 as follows:

3 With the ignition switched off and all current consuming equipment disconnected, measure the resistance across pin 2 of the valve connector and a good grounding point on the engine.
The resistance should be 5100 kilo-ohms for injectors 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. For injector 3 the resistance should be 2-20 kilo-ohms because the main instrument display panel is connected in parallel to measure fuel consumption.
If the resistance does not coincide with these intervals, continue with the next point.

Replace step 4 as follows:

4 With the ignition switched off and all current consuming equipment disconnected, measure the resistance across pin 1 of the valve connector and a good grounding point on the engine.
The resistance should be 10-500 kilo-ohms. it the resistance is OK, check the valve manually for binding.
If the valve is OK, proceed to point 6.
If the resistance is not OK, proceed to point 5.

The wiring diagram, delete the cable connected between pin 4 of the fuel pump relay (102) and crimped connection J103. Two of the cables between connector H16-2 and the throttle position sensor are transposed. The cable from pin 14 of the connector should be connected to pin 3 of the position sensor and the cable from pin 15 of the connector should be connected to pin 2 of the position sensor.

Delete crimped connection J11. The cables from pins 2, 14, 24 and 42 of the control module (510) should be connected directly to grounding point G7P.
