ISAT Scan Tool Repair Procedure
Background
A new 1-year warranty for both new and reconditioned ISAT scan tools is now in effect. Along with this new warranty is a new procedure for the repair of defective ISATs.
When returning a defective ISAT unit to Kent-Moore, you must include the following items:
^ The case
^ ISAT with EEPROM and battery
^ 10-pin diagnostic cable, 86 10 701
^ 16-pin diagnostic cable, 86 12 004
^ Multimeter cable, 86 10 719
^ SDA II, 86 11 436
All of these items must be included or the repair procedure will be delayed until you forward all required items.
Repair Procedure/Costs
In line with this new policy, there will be a charge for all units out of warranty sent in for repairs. This charge, which will be billed to you against your monthly parts statement, will be a minimum of $400.00.
This change is in effect immediately.
Please make certain when you have received a repaired ISAT back that you complete and return the warranty card that is enclosed in the package. This card should be returned to Kent-Moore to ensure that the serial number of your unit is entered into their system for warranty coverage. Should the card not be returned, you will be charged the minimum of $400.00 for future repair.
