Trailing Arm: Service and Repair

1. Remove coil spring, refer to COIL SPRING.
2. On vehicles with anti roll bar, remove spring link front mounting bolt and anti roll bar.
3. On all models, remove two bolts attaching front spring link mounting bracket to body, then the spring link.
4. Remove front bushing by pressing out using a sleeve applied to tube of bushing.
5. Remove rear bushing using bushing remover No. 89-96-274 or equivalent.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate new bushings with petroleum jelly.
b. Torque all bolts and nuts to specifications.
