Overhaul

NOTES:
- The numbers found below in parenthesis ( ), refer to that number (and that part/component) found in the illustration.
- On air bag equipped vehicles, refer to Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems), Service Precautions. Air Bag Systems Also refer to Service and Repair, Arming and Disarming.

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the steering wheel (1).
2. Remove the upper and lower sections of the steering wheel cowling (2).
3. Remove the coil spring and the two retaining screws (3).
4. Remove the locking ring.
5. Remove the bearing housing bolt and remove the bearing housing (4).

ASSEMBLY
1. Install the new bearing housing in position (4).
2. Install a new locking ring.
3. Install the coil spring and the two retaining screws (3).
4. Install the upper and lower sections of the steering wheel cowling (2).
5. Install the steering wheel (1).
