With Manual Transaxle

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove lefthand front seat, middle console side covers and middle console.
3. Remove air duct, then engage transaxle in 4th gear.
4. Remove plastic plug on gearbox, then insert locking pin with ring in uppermost position.
5. Remove clamp holding gear rod in linkage.
6. Engage 3rd gear so gear rod and linkage separate, then remove screws holding gear lever housing.
7. Lift up housing and turn, then remove two clamps holding ignition lock cables in gear lever housing.
8. Disconnect terminal on ignition lock, then pull backward and lift out gear lever housing with gear rod.
9. Remove locking plate holder, then the spring securing locking plate (3).
10. Using screwdriver, click up on rider controlled by ignition lock, then lift up locking plate and plastic fastener (4).
11. Remove ignition lock switch (5), then the ignition lock (6).
12. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Adjust position of locking plate with screw on plate holder. Locking plate should be level with heel in gear lever housing. Stop should not touch locking plate during adjustment.
b. Torque gear rod to linkage clamp nut to 16 ft. lbs.
