Replacement of Wiring In Tailgate
1 Remove the tailgate trim, the left/hand side trim in the luggage compartment, and the trim on the C pillar.
2 In order to withdraw the cable through the hole in the root, the pins in the connectors behind the left/hand wheel housing must first be removed.
The pins in the connector on the new cable must also be removed
3 Mark all cables and connectors carefully before removing the pins from the connectors.
4 Extract the cable lead-through from the hole in the root. Pull down the headlining slightly on the left-hand side and release the three retaining lugs on the rubber lead-through from the inside.
Pull the wiring out of the cabin through the hole in the roof.
Install the new wiring and insert the pins in the connectors behind the left-hand wheel housing. Carefully check the color coding of the pins and the cable codes against the wiring diagrams.
Fix: Fix the wiring properly so that no knocking, rattling or other unwanted noise occurs when the car is being driven.
