Passenger Side Air Bag

It may be necessary to clear the DTCs from the control module memory after component has been installed.

Fig. 9 Passenger Air Bag Module Replacement:

1. Disarm SRS as outlined under Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems),Service and Repair, Arming and Disarming.
2. Remove glove box lid, then remove and disconnect clove box lamp.
3. Remove screws and push clips retaining glove box, then remove glove box.
4. Disconnect air bag connector Fig. 9.
5. Remove nut retaining air bag stay to support member, then remove nuts holding air bag to instrument panel.
6. Reverse procedures to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten nuts to specifications.
b. Use a suitable sealing compound on right upper and left lower nuts.
