The passenger air bag module, located under a panel in the instrument panel pad above the glove compartment, contains the gas generator and air bag, Fig. 4. The gas generator consists of an aluminum case with a center compartment and two annular compartments, Fig. 5. The center compartment has an electric detonator and an explosive charge, and communicates with the inner annular compartment.
