Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

Fig. 3 Shift Interlock Solenoid Replacement:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove floor center console.
3. Remove shift lock solenoid, Fig. 2.
4. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Measure distance between hook and pin when hook is in bottom position. Distance should be 1-2 mm.
b. Install solenoid and consoles.
