Wastegate: Testing and Inspection

Checking
If it is not possible to adjust the basic boost pressure, check as follows:

1 Release the curved exhaust pipe from the turbo unit and visually check that the flap valve is in good contact with the turbine housing.

2 Break the seal, remove the locking ring and unhook the pressure rod from the valve's control lever.

3 Check that the lever can be moved freely.

4 Refit the locking ring and re-seal the pressure rod.
