Checking Basic Boost Pressure

IMPORTANT: The engine should be warm throughout.

1 Position manometer 83 93 514 vertically to reduce the risk of faulty reading.

2 Connect the pressure gauge to the intake manifold.

3 Carry out a full throttle acceleration in third gear at an rpm below 1500 rpm. When the rpm is getting close to 3000 rpm, press on the brake pedal at the same time as you keep the accelerator pedal fully depressed, so that you obtain full load at 3000 rpm. Read the basic boost pressure on the manometer. If the boost pressure is outside the tolerance limits, see "Adjustment of basic boost pressure".

4 Remove the pressure gauge and carry out adaptation of the boost pressure.
