Accelerator Pedal: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The accelerator pedal allows the driver to adjust the amount of engine output dependant upon varying power demands.

OPERATION
The pedal is connected to the throttle cable. As the pedal is pushed towards the floor, the cable is pulled, which in turn opens the throttle valve. In order to operate properly, the accelerator cable can be adjusted.
