Correcting Complaint of Noise From Secondary Air Injection Pump
Application:
1994- 900 and 9000 Models
It is possible that a customer may complain of an unusual noise generated from the secondary air injection pump. This noise may be caused by the hose clamp resting against the air shield. See Figure 1-1.
Cars Affected:
1994- 900 and 9000 models equipped with secondary air injection
Parts:
None
Action:
1. Disconnect and turn the Output side of the hose clamp from the air pump so that it is 2-3 mm from nearby parts.
2. Tighten the hose clamp. Start the engine and verify that the noise has disappeared.

Based on a customer complaint, this repair may be submitted under warranty.
