Programming
Starting with M 1995, the Intelligent Saab Tester (ISAT) scan tool is equipped for programming Saab Information Display (SID) 2/3 and SID 4 (SID 1 with audio display). Basic programming is carried out only once. The ISAT scan tool with PROM 7.01 shows how the instrument is programmed and the routine can then be used to check existing instruments. Basic setting is carried out for the following functions, which must be adapted to the relevant market by means of the adjustment commands.- Service Indication
The normal service interval is 20,000 km. This can be programmed and changed with "SERVICE INDICATOR" in the menu headed "ADJUSTMENT".
- Language
The basic setting (English) can be changed with "CHOOSE LANGUAGE" in the menu headed "ADJUSTMENT".".
- Unit of measurement
The basic setting (metric) can be changed by means of the SID unit's push-button.
- Speed warning ME
This function is not active in the basic setting. It is activated with "SPEED WARNING ME" in the menu headed "ADJUSTMENT".".
Important: Before programming is started, it is advisable to note the SID version and current equipment (Sensonic, TSAS or normal). These details are needed in connection with programming.
