Speedometer

The car is equipped with an electronic speedometer. The ABS control module continuously sends a speed signal to pin 5 of the main instrument display panel's control module.

This signal is a square wave which varies periodically 29 times per wheel revolution between battery positive (Batt+) voltage and 0 V. When the wheels are stationary, the voltage could be either battery positive (Batt+) or 0 V.

The control module controls the speedometer, the odometer and the trip meter. The information is also available to other systems via pins 3 and 4.
