Parking Heater

Parking heating is obtained when positive battery voltage is applied to pin 3 of the ACC control module via a timer. When the ignition is switched off, this results in the following options:
- Air-blending damper: Maximum heat*.
- Air distribution damper: Normal defrost - defrost/floor operation
- Recirculation damper: RECIRCULATION position at temperatures lower than 10 °C, otherwise FRESH AIR position
- Ventilation fan: 5,5A
- Electrically heated rear window: OFF
- A/C: OFF
- Display: Fan position only and possibly also RECIRCULATION
- Pushbuttons: All manual options except OFF are possible, the ventilation fan is limited to 6.5 A

The SID is "woken up" by the ACC control module and starts to send the outside temperature to the ACC control module. If AUTO is pressed, only the air-blending damper will be controlled automatically; the selected temperature and fan position are shown. Automatic control of the air-blending damper can be programmed by means of an ISAT. If the ignition switch is turned to the DRIVE position the AUTO mode of operation will be selected.
