Display and Illumination

Rheostat
The rheostat is connected to the ACC control module. The rheostat controls the background lighting for the pushbuttons.

Instrument Panel Lighting
A display panel lighting value is obtained from the SID. This value regulates the lighting intensity of the ACC panel's display. The same value also regulates the mileometer display in the main instrument display panel and the SID's own display.

In darkness the value is determined by the rheostat and in daylight by the brightness of the light in the cabin so that good readability is always obtained.
