Heat Shield: Description and Operation

Heat shields are fitted over the most heat-intensive zones. They are made of either aluminum or galvanized sheet metal, depending on their location, and they protect vulnerable places from heat radiation. The number of heat shields depends on the engine variant to which the exhaust system has been adapted.
