Valve Seat: Service and Repair

Machine valve seats as necessary using a 60 milling cutter. Width of intake valve seat should measure 1-1.5 mm and width of exhaust valve seat should measure 1.5-2 mm.
Only a limited amount of material can be removed from exhaust valve face, since the stellite coating must be preserved as much as possible. Consequently, if valve is badly pitted or worn, it should be replaced.
