DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
Without buzzer
Pin 56 of the ICE control module is supplied with current (+54 circuit) from fuse 33 via seat-belt warning lamp 72.
The ICE control module grounds the seat-belt warning lamp for 6 seconds.
With buzzer
Pin 56 of the ICE control module is supplied with current (+54 circuit) from fuse 33 via seat-belt warning lamp 72.
At the same time as the ICE control module grounds the seat-belt warning lamp, it sends a request for buzzer activation from the SID unit. The buzzer sounds until the seat-belt switch breaks the circuit from ground to pin 20 of the ICE control module for a maximum of 6 seconds.
FAULT DIAGNOSIS HINTS
The seat-belt warning is operative when the ignition switch is in the Drive position.
1. Check that fuse 33 is intact and supplied with current.
2. Check warning lamp 72.
3. Check that seat-belt warning switch 70 is in working order.
4. Check connectors, wiring and ground connections.
