16 Rheostat, lighting for instruments and controls, on dashboard between the steering wheel and driver's door.
22A Main fuse board in the dashboard.
353 Radio-cassette player, in centre of dashboard.
375 Mobile telephone connection in the centre console.

G34P Grounding point, control module bracket (Power) below the right-hand A pillar.

DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
Cars for certain markets are pre-wired for the installation of a mobile telephone, etc.

A special 6-pin connector (H6-2) for this purpose features:
^ current (+30 circuit) via fuse 23 (pin 1).
^ current (+15 circuit) via fuse 17 (pin 2).
^ adjustment of the lighting from rheostat 16 (pin 3).
^ reduction of radio volume during incoming/outgoing calls (pin 5).
^ ground connection (pin 4).

IMPORTANT: If a mobile telephone is installed, the current (+15 circuit) must not be used as the power supply but only for actuating a relay.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS HINTS
1. Check that fuse 23 is intact and supplied with current.
2. Check that current is present on pin 1 of the 6-pin connector.
3. Check that fuse 17 is intact and supplied with current.
4. Check that current is present on pin 2 of the 6-pin connector.
5. Check the connectors, wiring harness and ground connections.
