Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Fig. 11 ISAT Diagnostic Menus:
The ABS control module communicates with ISAT, Fig. 10, through pin 11 (K cable).
Any diagnostic trouble codes stored in the control module can be read out by means of ISAT. ISAT can also command the control module to control the solenoid valves or read the wheel speed.
With the ignition ON and the ISAT connected, the voltage on pin is approximately 10 volts. The diagnostic testing socket is located below the lower lefthand instrument panel fascia.
Operation
The ISAT features a system where a clear text under a number of menu options enables the user to directly select the desired command with the key pad. The structure of the ABS command menus, Fig. 11, provides six main menus. Three of these menus have varying numbers of commands in a submenu.
When a system menu is activated with ISAT, it means the ABS control module is performing something which is not functionally normal. Diagnostic trouble codes can be put into other systems which are dependant of the ABS.
The Activate functions must always be used with caution. Always deactivate an activated function before proceeding in the ISAT menu. Always clear any diagnostic trouble codes recorded in ABS or any other system after work has been completed.
