Checking the Speed Signal

Fault Symptom

The hood can be operated even though the car is in motion.

Diagnostic Procedure





1 Connect the ISAT Scan Tool and read "SPEED RR". Drive the car or spin the right-hand rear wheel and check that the Scan Tool shows a speed higher than 0 km/h.

2 If the speed does not change, check the wiring between pin 12 (K42) of the TSAS control module and pin 19 of the ABS control module for continuity/shorting.
