DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
The electrically heated rear window and door mirrors can be switched on and off by means of switch 116 on the heating and ventilation control panel.

At the same time as the electrically heated rear window is switched on, current is also supplied to elements 207 in the electrically heated door mirrors 126 and 127.

Current is supplied via fuse 1 to pin 30 of relay 113. When the ignition switch is in the Drive position, current is also supplied via fuse 21 to spring-loaded switch 116.

When the switch is depressed, current is supplied to pin 66 of the ICE control module. The ICE control module grounds pin 85 of the relay and the bulb in the switch is supplied with current at the same time.

From pin 87 of the relay the circuit is then connected to ground via electrically heated rear window 115 and the electrically heated door mirrors.

The ICE control module grounds the relay for 12 minutes but checks the battery voltage every three minutes. Should the battery voltage drop below a certain level, the ICE control module will stop grounding the relay.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS HINTS
The electrically heated rear window and door mirrors are activated by turning the ignition switch to the Drive position.
1. Check that fuses 1 and 21 are intact and supplied with current.
2. Check connectors, wiring and ground connections.
