Replacement of Front Door Lock

Replacement of front door locks




To remove
1 Open the door (window closed).
2 Remove the door trim. Service and Repair
3 Remove the water barrier.
4 Detach the pull bar (between the door handle and door lock) from the lock.

Note: If you wear gloves you can easily undo the clips on the bars.

5 Remove the bottom edge of the rear guide channel.
6 Detach the pull bar (between the lock cylinder and lock) from the lock.
7 Remove the three screws securing the door lock.
8 Remove the door lock complete with internal lock mechanism and central locking system motor.
9 Unplug the connector for the central locking system motor.
10 Remove the central locking system motor from the door lock (secured by means of two Phillips screws).





To fit
1 Fit the door lock complete with internal lock mechanism and central locking system motor.
2 Plug in the connector for the central locking system motor.
3 Fit the bottom edge of the rear guide channel.
4 Press the pull bar onto the lock cylinder.
5 Press the pull bar onto the inside handle.
6 Check the clearance between opening handle and lock.

Note: The clearance should be fairly generous.

7 Fit the water barrier.
8 Fit the door trim. Service and Repair
