Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair

DISARMING
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Prior to performing any service or diagnostic procedure, wait at least 20 minutes for back up power supply to deplete.

ARMING
1. Connect battery ground cable.

^ Ensure no one is inside vehicle when connecting battery ground cable.

2. Turn ignition ON and note SRS warning lamp operation. The SRS warning lamp should light for about six seconds, and then go off. If lamp remains illuminated or fails to light, refer to Testing and Inspection / Procedures.
