Programming

Starting with M1995, the ISAT Scan Tool is equipped for programming SID 2/3 and SID 4 (SID 1 with audio display). Only one basic programming routine is provided and since the ISAT Scan Tool does not show how the instrument is programmed, the routine cannot therefore be used to check this. Basic setting of the following features is carried out and they must be adapted to the relevant market by means of the adjustment commands.

- Service indicator

The normal service interval is 20,000 km. This can be programmed and changed with "SERVICE INDICATOR" in the "ADJUSTMENT" menu.

- Language

The basic setting (English) can be changed with "LANGUAGE" in the "ADJUSTMENT" menu.

- Units

The basic setting (metric) can be changed by means of the SID unit's pushbuttons.

- Speed warning ME

This speed warning feature is inactive in the basic setting. It is activated by "SPEED WARNING ME" in the "ADJUSTMENT" menu.

Note: It is advisable before programming is started to make a note of the current equipment of the SID version (Sensonic, TSAS or standard). These details are required in connection with programming.

1 Select PROGRAMMING in the ISAT Scan Tool's SAAB INFO DISPLAY program.

2 Continue to the programming phase or terminate.

3 State the SID type in question, which may be SID 2/3 or SID 4. (SID 4 = SID 1 with audio display).

4 State equipment, which may be ACS (Sensonic), HOOD (TSAS), ACS/HOOD or NORMAL.

5 Program the instrument with the entered details.

Important: Both these commands will cause the instrument to be programmed. This will be corrected for M1996.

6 This menu confirms that programming has been carried out.

7 This menu is displayed if programming has been interrupted with ESC.
