Microswitch in driver's door, open circuit (unlock signal)
Fault symptom
Alarm cannot be activated.
Diagnostic procedure
1 Connect the Intelligent Saab Tester (ISAT) and from the menu select "OBTAIN READOUTS" and then "UNLOCK SIGNAL".
Turn the key in the driver's door to the unlock position and read the ISAT display.
During activation-> "ON"
End and neutral positions-> "OFF"
2 If not obtained, connect the BOB and check the voltage by taking a reading across pin 11 of the control module and a good grounding point while unlocking the door.
A reading of about 12 V should be obtained for about 750 ms.
If the voltage is OK, proceed to point 4.
3 If the voltage is not OK, check the voltage at the central locking control module by taking a reading across pin 8 of the control module and a good grounding point while unlocking the door.
A reading of about 12 V should be obtained for about 750 ms.
If the voltage is not OK, continue fault diagnosis as described in the Central locking system"/Wiring Diagrams.
4 If the voltage is OK, check the wiring for continuity by measuring the resistance, which should be < 1 ohm.
Measure across pin 8 of the central locking connector and pin 11 of the anti-theft alarm connector.
