No current for the rear window lift motors on activation.

Fault Symptom

The window lifts cannot be operated.

Condition

B2473 Window lift motor for LH rear quarter light receives no current on activation.

B2774 Window lift motor for RH rear quarter light receives no current on activation.

Diagnostic Procedure





1 Try to operate the window lift concerned. Clear the trouble code if the window lift is in proper working order. Check that the trouble code is not generated afresh.

2 Unplug the connector from the defective motor. Check the voltage across pin 1 and a good ground while lowering the quarter light and across pin 2 and a good ground while raising it. The correct voltage is 12v in both cases. Proceed to point 4 if either or both voltage readings are not OK.

3 Check the wiring harness between the defective motor's connector and the control module for continuity/shorting.

4 Change the window lift motor.
