No current for the front window lift motors on activation.

Fault Symptom

The window lifts cannot be operated.

Condition

B2471 Window lift motor in LH door receives no current on activation.

B2772 Window lift motor in RH door receives no current on activation.

Diagnostic Procedure

1 Try to operate the window lift concerned. Clear the trouble code if the window lift is in proper working order. Check that the trouble code is not generated afresh.

2 Unplug connector H26-1 (LH door) or H26-2 (RH door). Check the voltage across pin 23 and a good ground while lowering the window and across pin 24 and a good ground while raising it. The correct voltage is 12v in both cases. Proceed to point 4 if either or both voltage readings are not OK.

3 Check the wiring harness between the control module and H26-1 (LH door) or H26-2 (RH door).

4 Check the wiring harness between connector H26-1 or H26-2 and the relevant window lift motor. Rectify any faults. Change the window lift motor if the wiring harness is OK.
