Fig. 25 Code B2465: Pump Motor, Faulty:
Symptom
ABS warning lamp lit, no ABS function
Condition
The pump motor is tested after the car has started and wheels have begun to rotate (v>6 Km/h). It is then continuously monitored.
- Faults are recorded:
- If the power supply to the motor in the 100 milliseconds fails below a particular level after activation from the pump motor relay has stopped.
- If the power supply to the motor remains above a particular level for more than 5 seconds without activation from the pump motor relay.
Action
1. Check with the ISAT command "PUMP MOTOR" on the "ACTIVATE" menu. Press "ON" and check that the motor is activated. Then press "OFF". If the motor is activated, proceed to item 3. If not, proceed to the next item.
2. Check whether the motor ground cable has a break in continuity or poor contact.
3. Apply battery voltage to the positive power supply of the motor via the screw on the front of the control module with the ignition turned off.
- If the motor is activated, clear the fault code. Test-drive the car and see whether the fault code re-appears.
- If the motor does not operate, replace the motor. If so, Test Procedure Prior to ECM Replacement for further action.
