Symptom
ABS warning lamp lit ABS inoperative.
Condition
The fault code is recorded when the ignition is turned on and the control module carries out a connection test on solenoid valves. The main relay is briefly activated twice and then breaks again. The pilot lamp goes out for a short-time before remaining lit.
Action
1. Raise the car, and check the solenoid value of the front left wheel with ISAT command "VALVE TEST FL" on the "ACTIVATE"menu.
- If the test shows "TEST OK" go to item 3,
- If not, continue with the next item.
2. Remove the cover of the control module, Unplug the 6-pin connector of the solenoid valve from the control module.
NOTE: The connector is firmly seated Measure the resistance in the coil of the solenoid valve by measuring on pins 1 and 2 of the connector.
The resistance must be approx 0.7 to 1.7 Ohms.
- If the resistance is incorrect, replace the hydraulic unit.
- If the resistance is correct, continue with the next item.
3. Clear the fault, test-drive the car and check whether the fault code re-appears, If so Test Procedure Prior to ECM Replacement for further actions.
