B1500

Battery voltage too high (>16v) or too low (<1Ov). No battery voltage (+30 circuit) supplied to control module.

Fault Symptoms

B1500 The hood cannot be operated.

B1520 Since the wrong battery voltage usually causes trouble in other system functions, diagnostic trouble codes are often generated in other systems.

Diagnostic Procedure





1 Check that maxifuse 5 is intact and live.

2 Check the battery and the charging system. Rectify any faults.

3 Check that the TSAS control module's power supply is correct on pin 20 (K20). Also check the ground connections on pins 10 (k20) and 18 (k42). Note that the control module is also grounded to the car body. Rectify any faults.
