Electrically heated rear window, shorted to ground.

Fault Symptom.
The heated rear window cannot be switched ON or OFF.

Conditions
Control module output pin 39 shorted to ground.

Diagnostic procedure
1. Connect the ISAT and issue the command "HEATED REAR WINDOW" in the "ACTIVATE" menu.
This command sends Batt+ from pin 39 of the ACC control module to Integrated Central Electronics (ICE) and then checks pin 31 to ascertain whether the heated rear window is activated or not. If this works, clear the trouble code and check that it is not generated afresh.
2. Contact ICE with the ISAT and activate "HEATED REAR WINDOW" in the "ACTIVATE RELAY" menu. Check that the symbol for the heated rear window in the ACC panel's display lights up and goes out when the command is executed.
3. Check the wiring between pin 39 of the ACC control module and pin 66 of the ICE control module for shorting to ground. Locate the fault and rectify it.
