COMMUNICATION FAULT WITH ICE, SHORTED TO GROUND

Fault Symptoms

One or more of the following:

- The "REAR LIGHTS U/S" message does not work.
- The "BRAKE LIGHTS U/S" message does not work.
- The "TEST BRAKE LIGHTS" message does not work.
- The acoustic reminder does not work.
- The direction indicator acoustic repeater does not work.

Diagnostic Procedure

1 Check the wiring by connecting a BOB to the 22-pin connector behind the SID unit (SID unit disconnected). Unplug the 70-pin ICE connector.





2 Check for shorting to ground between pin 8 of the SID unit and pin 37 of the ICE. Locate and rectify the fault.
