Potentiometer readings unstable

Condition

The potentiometer does not provide the control module with stable readings.

Diagnostic Procedure





1 Check the mechanical operation of the potentiometer and that it is correctly fitted. Also make sure that the potentiometer arm's locating hole is not damaged and giving rise to vibration in the potentiometer.

2 Clear the trouble code and operate the hood. Check that the trouble code is not generated afresh.

3 Change the potentiometer if the trouble code is generated afresh.
