The fifth bow latch microswitch does not show the same information as the potentiometer.

Condition

The information on the position of the fifth bow received by the control module from the microswitch does not coincide with the information provided by the fifth bow potentiometer.

Diagnostic Procedure





1 Connect an ISAT Scan Tool and read "5TH BOW LATCH". Operate the fifth bow so that both states of the microswitch (actuated/unactuated) are tested. Clear the trouble code if this is successful. Check that the trouble code is not generated afresh.

2 If the microswitch does not change state as above, check its mechanical operation. Change the microswitch if it is defective.
