W603 - Replacing Windshield Wiper Arms (Workshop Campaign)

Replacing front windshield wiper arms.

Information:
This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on a certain 2006 model year Cayenne (V6), Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo vehicles. There is the possibility the vehicles front windshield wiper arms may not work properly.

To remedy the situation, replace both front windshield wiper arms.

Affected vehicles:
A total of 799 U.S. and Canadian vehicles fall within the scope of this Workshop Campaign.

Very Important!
Use the VIN range below as a general guideline. The VIN can be checked in the Porsche e-DCS/WWS for confirmation of an open recall campaign. Refer to Attachment "A" to determine if a particular vehicle is eligible for this recall campaign (or Workshop Campaign). Also, the VIN can be checked via the VRU (Voice Response System) for any open listing.

Not every vehicle in the below listed range may be affected. Use the ranges below as a general guideline. Alternatively, the VIN can be checked in the Porsche e-DCS/WWS for confirmation of an open service action.





The affected Vehicle Identification Numbers are contained in the VIN Ranges shown.

Attachment "A" for W603 VINs is an electronic attachment only, and will be accessible via e-DCS Document repository. This attachment will not be available in a printed form and therefore cannot be sent to your dealership location Also, the VIN can be checked via the VRU (Voice Response System) for any open listing.

Attachment "B" Work Procedure: Replacing both front wiper arms.

1. Remove the two front wiper arms according to > Workshop Manual '922519' Removing and installing wiper arm section on "Removing" and take both wiper blades off the wiper arms according to > Workshop Manual '922719' Removing and installing wiper blade section on "Removing".

2. Follow the instructions provided in > Workshop Manual '922719' Removing and installing wiper blade - section on "Installing" to install the removed wiper blades onto the new wiper arms. Install the new front wiper arms according to > Workshop Manual '922519' Removing and installing wiper arm - section on "Installing"'.

Note!
Do not enter the Workshop Campaign in the Warranty and Maintenance booklet.

Note:
Always check for open recall status under the appropriate e-DCS menu options.
