Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement (MVE Manual Transmission)

Removal Procedure




1. Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch line.




2. Remove the bolts (1, 2) and disconnect the clutch tube bracket.




3. Remove the bolts (1, 2) and the clutch release cylinder.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the clutch release cylinder with the bolts (1, 2) and tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb in).




2. Connect the clutch tube bracket with the bolts (1, 2) and tighten.

* Bolt 1 to 12 Nm (9 lb ft).
* Bolt 2 to 8.0 Nm (71 lb in).




3. Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, connect the clutch line and tighten.

* Without a union nut wrench 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
* With a union nut wrench 14 Nm (10 lb ft).

4. Fill brake fluid reservoir.
5. Bleed clutch line. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
6. Inspect fluid level.
7. Inspect for fluid leak.
