Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement (MVC Manual Transmission)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove release cylinder heat insulator.
2. Remove clutch accumulator bracket.
3. Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch line.




4. Remove the bolt and nuts (1, 3), and disconnect the clutch accumulator assembly and clutch tube bracket.




5. Remove the nuts (1, 2) and clutch release cylinder assembly.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the clutch release cylinder with the nuts (1, 2) and tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb in).




2. Connect the accumulator assembly and clutch tube bracket with the bolt and nuts (1, 3) and tighten.

* The nut to 12 Nm (106 lb in).
* The bolt to 8 Nm (71 lb ft).




3. Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, connect the clutch line and tighten.

* Without a union nut wrench 15 Nm (9 lb ft).
* With a union nut wrench 14 Nm (10 lb in).

4. Install clutch accumulator bracket.
5. Install release cylinder heat insulator.
6. Fill brake fluid reservoir.
7. Bleed clutch line. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
8. Inspect fluid level.
9. Inspect for fluid leak.
