2-4 Clutch Piston Removal

J 41221 Oil Seal Installer
Note: Stop pressing when the 2-4 clutch piston is 1-2 mm (0.0394-0.0787 in) from the snap ring groove to prevent the 2-4 clutch piston from being deformed.
1. Using a press, J 41221 , and a screwdriver remove the snap ring.
2. Remove the 2-4 clutch spring from the transmission case cover.
Note:
* Blowing air may cause the piston to jump out. When removing the piston, hold it by hand using a shop rag or piece of cloth.
* Do not splash ATF with compressed air.
3. Apply compressed air to the transmission case cover to remove the 2-4 clutch piston.
4. Using a screwdriver, remove the O-rings (1, 2) from the 2-4 clutch piston.
