3. Accumulator Piston Removal




Accumulator Piston Removal




1. Remove the transmission case fluid passage gasket (1) from the transmission case.




2. Remove the 2nd clutch transmission case fluid passage gasket (1) from the transmission case.




3. Remove the 2nd clutch hub transmission case fluid passage gasket from the transmission case.




4. Remove the exhaust valve and spring from the transmission case.





Note:
* Blowing air may cause the piston to jump out. When removing the piston, hold it by hand using a shop rag or piece of cloth.
* Do not splash ATF with compressed air.

5. Apply compressed air to the oil hole (1) and remove the 2nd clutch accumulator piston and spring.




6. Remove the O-rings (1, 2) from the 2nd clutch accumulator piston.





Note:
* Blowing air may cause the piston to jump out. When removing the piston, hold it by hand using a shop rag or piece of cloth.
* Do not splash ATF with compressed air.

7. Apply compressed air to the oil hole (1) and remove the 5th accumulator piston and spring.




8. Remove the O-rings (1) from the 5th clutch accumulator piston.





Note:
* Blowing air may cause the piston to jump out. When removing the piston, hold it by hand using a shop rag or piece of cloth.
* Do not splash ATF with compressed air.

9. Apply compressed air to the oil hole (1) and remove the direct clutch accumulator piston and spring.




10. Remove the O-rings (1) from the direct clutch accumulator piston.
