Rear Carrier Installation




1. Install the 1st clutch sprag retainer to the low and reverse clutch bearing plate retaining ring.




2. Install the front sun gear bearing race, the roller bearing, and thrust bearing race to the rear carrier gear assembly.




3. Install the rear carrier to the front carrier.
4. Install the 2nd clutch piston on to the rear carrier.
5. Install the low and reverse clutch bearing plate retaining ring on to the 2nd clutch piston.




6. Using a screwdriver, install the snap ring.




7. Check that the rear carrier gear assembly (1) turns freely counterclockwise and locks when turned clockwise.
