Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).




2. Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector (1).
3. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure switch (2). Use a second wrench to hold the switch mount to avoid bending the liquid line.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Note:
* Use new O-rings lubricated with 525 viscosity mineral oil.
* Hold the A/C refrigerant pressure switch mount with an open end wrench to avoid bending the liquid line.

1. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure switch (2).

Tighten the A/C refrigerant pressure switch (2) to 11 Nm (8.0 lb ft).

2. Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector (1).
3. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
4. Operate the A/C system and check for leaks. Refer to Leak Testing (Leak Testing).
