Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair)




2. Remove the bolt (1) and the vacuum hose clamp.




3. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector (1).
4. Remove the bolt and the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (2).




5. Remove the O-ring (1) from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring (1) and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (2) with the bolt and tighten to 9.0 Nm (80 lb in).
3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector (1).




4. Install the vacuum hose clamp with the bolt (1).
5. Inspect for oil leak.
6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
