Sunroof Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the roof side rail module inflatable restraint. Refer to Roof Side Rail Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement (Roof Side Rail Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement).
2. Disengage the five clips (1) and remove the front side roof rail spacer (2).




3. Disengage the five clips (1) and remove the rear side roof rail spacer (2).




4. Disengage the five clips (1) and remove the sunroof garnish molding (2).




5. Remove the four screws (1) and the sunroof glass panel (2).




6. Remove the nut (3).
7. Disengage the clip (1) and remove the light bracket (2).




8. Remove the 4 sunroof housing drain hoses (1) from the sunroof housing (4).
9. Remove the eight bolts (3).
10. Remove the seven nuts (2).
11. Remove the sunroof housing assembly (4) from vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the sunroof housing assembly (3) to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the eight bolts (2) and the seven nuts (1).

Tighten the sunroof housing bolts and nuts to 5.5 Nm (49 lb in).




3. Disengage the clip (1) and install the light bracket (2).
4. Install the nut (3).

Tighten the nut to 5.5 Nm (49 lb in).




5. Connect the sunroof drain hoses (2) so that each mark faces downward (1).




6. Install the sunroof glass panel (2) to the vehicle. Secure the glass panel (2) with two screws (1) at each side. Do not tighten fully.
7. Adjust the sunroof window as necessary. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment (Adjustments).




8. Engage the five clips (1) and install the sunroof garnish molding (2).




9. Engage the five clips (1) and install the rear side roof rail spacer (2).




10. Engage the five clips (1) and install the front side roof rail spacer (2).
11. Install the roof side rail module inflatable restraint. Refer to Roof Side Rail Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement (Roof Side Rail Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement).
