Liftgate Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Use a grease pencil to mark the liftgate hinge position to the body.
4. Remove the hinge retaining nuts from the vehicle roof.
5. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the hinge with the marks made on the vehicle body.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the hinge retaining nuts Tighten the liftgate hinge stud nuts to 19.5 Nm (14 lb ft).
3. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Replacement (Service and Repair).
